What Is Green Coffee And Can It Help Me?

Based on the responses to starting my own journal on my weight loss goal using green coffee extract (I want to lose 25 pounds at a minimum in about 40 days), I’ve decided to write this article to better help people understand what green coffee actually is.

It seems that green coffee is actually just coffee beans that haven’t been roasted. In the past around 1100 years AD people still hadn’t discovered roasting, so the unroasted beans would be brewed to make a sort of tea instead.

Some researchers tested out the theory that green coffee leads to weight loss and they found a correlation in their double blind experiment. Now, the way you take green coffee is in pill form (as with any other diet product), but you want to make sure not to take a lot before going to sleep or if you already have a negative reaction to caffeine.

My weight loss journal is going to detail what exercises, foods, and supplements I’m taking each day and how far away I am from reaching my goals. Scientists are still skeptical that Green Coffee actually helps with weight loss  as no researchers have duplicated the results from that double blind study (which only had 16 individuals in it — a very small sample size indeed).

I figure that the best way to find out if something actually works is to test it on myself and document all the results. So that’s what I’ll be doing over the next month. I really want to lose 25 pounds as fast as possible, but I know that just taking a pill isn’t going to magically fix everything; I’ll need to work at it and do more exercising as well as cutting down on the foods I eat.

Wish me luck on my journey and I hope you continue reading my blog!
